At the end of darkness, there is light. Brigus Tunnel.
Brigus Tunnel was constructed for the famous Captain Abram Bartlett by the Cornish miner John Hoskins around 1860. It took around 4 months to complete the construction. This tunnel is about 80 feet long, 8.5 feet high, and 8 feet wide. It was built to give Captain Abram Bartlett easy access from the Brigus harbor to his ship and make his offloading of the catch more convenient. This tunnel was used until around 1910. Now it becomes a place of interest in Brigus.
